These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of ILM Tuition's Website and services.
By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use ILM Tuition's website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: "Client", "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person accessing this website, and accepting the Company's terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to our Company. "Party", "Parties", or "Us", refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves.
You consent to our storing and using your personal data to provide our services to you and keep you informed of relevant services, products and offer relevant to the 11 Plus and education in general.
We will not share your personal data with any third party except in the interest of Child Protection Laws.
Application to our tuition service or purchasing of any product must be done through our website.
By purchasing our services or products you must agree to our terms and conditions.
Pay reservation deposit
Set up Direct Debit instructions for the duration of the program
Attend Class on allocated dates
Once you have paid the first instalment and set up Direct Debit instructions for the duration of the programme, you will be notified by email confirming membership details, class dates and location. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive anything before contacting us.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any application without giving reason.
The year 5 course is £2760 for 44 weeks of tuition/service from September to September, internal assessments, reporting and workbooks and course materials.
The weekday tuition is provided over two days in 2-hour sessions. During the school holidays, we may do 4 hours sessions in one block- please check dates and times.
Saturday classes are conducted in one 4-hour session.
The year 4 course is £1260 for 40 weeks of tuition from September to July and course books and materials.
Tuition is offered to students: with the aim of sitting the 11 plus entry examinations or any other examination agreed upon at the time of enrolment.
Lessons will follow our set syllabus and will be topic-based, covering the entire KS2 National Curriculum.
Individual students’ weaknesses will be covered as and when the topic is scheduled in our calendar. If you require a special focus on a particular subject area, we suggest you take alternative measures to support your child.
It is the parents’ duty to check our schedule and book holidays accordingly.
Regular assessment and quality control:
Students will be assessed regularly by the quality of classwork and homework as well as periodic assessments. These measures will allow the tutors to maintain quality and check progress. Parents will be informed of any concerns with their child’s work or progress.
If concerns remain unaddressed and progress continues to decline, then we may remove the child from the course.
Course provision and tutors
The course content is designed and maintained by ILM management and is subject to change at our discretion.
The tutors are selected by ILM and may be rotated/changed during the programme. We make no guarantee of the availability of a specific tutor for your child’s tuition.
We reserve the right to cancel/ rearrange a scheduled lesson:
If ILM tutors are unable to conduct a lesson for any reason, this will be rescheduled to another date or the fee will be credited to the following month’s bill.
Times and venue
Venues and time slots are advertised on the main website. We reserve the right to change or cancel them if it becomes unviable to continue.
Your child’s class times and venue will be confirmed at the time of registration.
In certain circumstances, we may have to relocate the tutoring venue to another suitable location and or time. We will notify parents of this change. It is the parent’s duty to attend our new/temporary site. In this situation, we will not offer any refund or compensation if you do not attend.
Study material and workbooks:
Upon registration and successful enrolment, we will provide course books and materials throughout the duration of the course. It is parents’ duty to check these and send correct books/material as requested by the tutor.
Equipment and stationary:
Students must attend classes with pens, pencils and other necessary stationary as advised by tutors.
Usage of material/online membership permissions
Access to the online membership area is restricted to the registered account holder (parent) and one named student.
You are not permitted to share your access details with anyone else.
Access to the online member’s portal and videos is free. This feature is in the trial process; we do not guarantee continuous or regular updates.
Mock tests are available for an additional fee to existing students. Non-students may also participate in the mocks. Bookings must be made as advertised on the mocks booking page.
We reserve the right to cancel the mocks if there are insufficient candidates to cover our costs. All customers will be reimbursed in this situation.
Absentees will lose their fee and we will not provide an alternative date.
Latecomers will not be able to sit the mock test and will lose their fee.
The tutors will conduct the lessons with a positive attitude and to the best of their knowledge and experience.
Lessons will be planned and prepared in advance
Ample homework will be set for each week
Will provide handouts and material to support learning
Students must conduct themselves in a well-behaved manner.
Must not be disruptive by shouting out in the class
Must not be disrespectful towards tutors or other students in the Centre
Must complete homework on time and to a good standard
Must bring all relevant books and stationery to every lesson
Must take responsibility for their belongings
Students are responsible for recording their homework in a diary or log book
Must collect and secure all handouts in their relevant folders/books
Parents MUST take an active role in their child’s education.
Must ensure homework is completed on time and to a good standard and provide all-round support.
Help your child to manage their time and homework load by spreading it out through the week.
Visit the library regularly to improve reading and comprehension; books must be at an appropriate level. See our reading list for suggestions.
Mark their mental arithmetic and English skills books using the answer books.
Ensure the correct books/materials are brought to each session.
The fee for the year 5 course is £2760 for 44 weeks of tuition/service from September to September- this includes course materials.
At the time of registration, a deposit of £120 is payable. This will secure a place for your child to sit our entrance assessment.
The remaining course fee of £2640 must be made in 11 monthly instalments of £240 by direct debit.
Payments are to be made over 11 instalments to be completed by the 1st of July.
The fee for the year 4 course is £1260 for 40 weeks tuition from September to July and course books and materials.
At the time of registration, a deposit of £60 is payable. This will secure your child’s space.
The remaining course fee of £1200 must be made in 10 monthly instalments of £120 by direct debit and must be complete by the 1st of June.
The instalments do not reflect the number of weeks in each month. It has been set to make monthly amounts consistent.
The fees are charged for the occupancy of a seat and is due even if the student is absent or late.
No refund or reduction is offered for absences or late attendances for any reason.
Failure to pay on time may result in loss of seat and you will be liable for all costs in recovering a debt from you.
For applications received after the course start date (September): the fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
Exclusion and cancellation of service by us
Bad behaviour will result in loss of seat. (No refund will be offered in these circumstances and NO more fees will be due after this point).
Abusive and insulting behaviour by parents or students towards members of staff will result in loss of seat.
Failure to pay according to the schedule will result in loss of seat.
In circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to cancel the service. Service will cease at the end of the notice period and no further payment will be payable by parents. No compensation will be offered for any previous payments.
In this circumstance, we will refund all unused fees that have been paid up front.
If you wish to stop the service, please follow the cancellation guidance below. Following the cancellation notice period as set out below, we will stop all future payments.
No refund is offered after the final instalment has been paid; July for year 5 course and June for the year 4 course. You are liable to complete the course till the end.
You have the right to cancel your child’s application within fourteen days of entering into this contract and before any service or product has been provided without giving any reason.
After this time, you will lose any deposit money paid.
You have the right to cancel the tuition and cease access to all member areas of our website. To stop you must give two weeks written notice by email before the 15th of the month. In this case, we will stop the next payment. Notice received after this date may result in the charge of the following month’s fee and will delay the cancellation process.
During the notice period, students will still continue to have access to the service and online membership.
Limitation of liability
ILM Tuition Centre does not make any guarantees or promises of entry into a selective school. The process is very demanding and depends on the results of the final examination. Often a pass is not enough as the number of candidates is more than the number of seats offered by selective schools.
This contract is between you and us. No third party can enforce the terms of this contract.
